Friday, July 31, 2015. Slime making with our buddy class room 8. On Friday we had lots of fun making slime with our Buddies from Room 8. Our science day began with making sherbert. It fizzed and bubbled on our tongues. Then we put. Baking soda and citric acid inside a sealed plastic bag and added water. This caused a reaction which made carbon dioxide gas and the bag blew up like a BALLOON. Our buddy class joined us and we made slime using psylleum, water and food colouring. Saturday, June 20, 2015. This week we have been celebrating Matariki. We first talked about what it meant and wrote about how we celebrate things in our own families. On Wednesday we made vegetable soup! Thanks to everyone who brought in vegetables. We had fun chopping, peeling, grating and tasting the vegetables before they went in. Saturday, June 27, 2015. This week Room 2 travelled by bus to visit a farm in the Waikato. When we got there the farmer took us into a paddock for a treasure hunt. We saw and learnt about lots of different vehicles and equipment used on the farm. Next we went to the milk vats and took a look inside an empty one.
