Notes from a Caffienated Cowgirl: The land of hope...
http://caffienatedcowgirlnotes.blogspot.com/2007/05/land-of-hope.html
Notes from a Caffienated Cowgirl. Life off the ranch. The land of hope. There is a section of my closet where clothes go to hide from the charity bags. I like to call it the "land of hope". Because we move quite often, I am no longer the pack rat of my early years. Rather, at every given opportunity I gladly go through our belongings and give away things we just don't need. I have 5 categories in my wardrobe that I mentally run through when it comes time to purge. They are. Clothes I actually wear. Jotte...

Notes from a Caffienated Cowgirl: Adaptation...
http://caffienatedcowgirlnotes.blogspot.com/2007/05/adaptation.html
Notes from a Caffienated Cowgirl. Life off the ranch. How is it that we may move from place to place, yet our bodies seem set on staying in their original climate? If you can never fully adapt to the weather, then can you ever fully adapt to the place? Does my lack of stripping down to a t-shirt and shorts when the weather hits 65 degrees Fahrenheit make it obvious that I'm not a native? Jotted down by Caffienated Cowgirl. Stashed away in: ramblings. I totally hear you about the crazy weather! Memior by ...

Notes from a Caffienated Cowgirl. Life off the ranch. Shades of deja black and blue. Will he grow up to be the ringleader of crash test dummies? I shudder to think. And yet, at the same time, I find myself repeating my mom's words to him - "oh, you're not dead.here's a bandaid.and just be more careful next time.". Jotted down by Caffienated Cowgirl. Notes from a Caffienated Cowgirl. Life off the ranch. I have been trying to maintain two blogs for several months. My first blog, Culinary Cowgirl. Has been loads of fun.indulging my passion of all things food. And this blog has been my release for all things non-food. But, after taking a long think about it and after noticing that my life wouldn't support the time for two blogs, I have opted to quit the first two and begin a new one. Just This Side of Normal. Jotted down by Caffienated Cowgirl. It's bee...

Cool Stuff con Queso: The Keenest Shoes Around
http://stuffconqueso.blogspot.com/2008/03/keenest-shoes-around.html
Wednesday, March 19, 2008. The Keenest Shoes Around. If you happen to be an extremely active two-and-a-half-year-old person with impressively wide feet, I very strongly advise that you spend the summer in these durable, cool, waterproof shoes. Newport H2 from Keen. They are worth every penny. Trust me. Oh, thank you! No really, thank you. It's so hard to fit shoes to a fat 3-year-old boy foot. I'm headed over there now. Notes from a Caffienated Cowgirl: April 2007
http://caffienatedcowgirlnotes.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
Notes from a Caffienated Cowgirl. Life off the ranch. A good day for a cat. I was never a sun worshiper.until I moved to England. Growing up in Northern California, we had our fair share of sun all year. When summer hit, I was not one of the masses that would stake a place in the sun and bake for hours. My sunbathing lasted only minutes (luckily I tan easy). I preferred sun from a shady point of view. Can a change of location really affect a person that much? Jotted down by Caffienated Cowgirl. Also, I a...

Notes from a Caffienated Cowgirl: Where life takes you...
http://caffienatedcowgirlnotes.blogspot.com/2007/04/where-life-takes-you.html
Notes from a Caffienated Cowgirl. Life off the ranch. Where life takes you. Truth - I really am a cowgirl. I grew up on a ranch in California. My life for over 20 years consisted of ranchers, cowboys, cows, cowdogs, foothills and mountains. From the time I was born, I figured that was were I would be forever. When you're born into tradition, you tend to stay in tradition. Why would I have dreamt that I would do anything else? Truth - I still wear cowboy boots. Jotted down by Caffienated Cowgirl.

Notes from a Caffienated Cowgirl: Cows on the wall...
http://caffienatedcowgirlnotes.blogspot.com/2007/05/cows-on-wall.html
Notes from a Caffienated Cowgirl. Life off the ranch. Cows on the wall. In our house, my husband and I take turns on who gets to decorate what room. Some rooms are a joint venture, a little bit of both of us, and then some are either his or hers. This time (in this house), the dining room is mine. Now, in the States, no one ever questioned my choice of displayed photos. But here in England, I have been asked on several occasions, "why do you have a picture of a cow on your wall? For my non-American frien...

Notes from a Caffienated Cowgirl. Life off the ranch. What I have in common with Indiana Jones. As we were exploring an area near a pond, I heard my husband say "hey honey, did you see that snake in the water." WHAT? The fun had just gone out of my funny bone. Rather than enjoying the surroundings, I began to maintain high alert mode for snakes.all the while my husband and son are blissfully walking around and chattering about things they see. Jotted down by Caffienated Cowgirl. You can read about me here.
