Sunday, June 16, 2013. Both suns were setting at the same time! Well, technically, it was the sun and a sundog. I am sort of busy right now so there may be a blog pause for another week. Sunday, March 22, 2015. I did a watercolor plein air at Arroyo Hondo preserve in Santa Barbara, but it was too overworked. After two more attempts at home, I just took some buff colored printmaking paper and dashed out a quick version. It's my favorite. Hi, welcome to my blog. Also done on Islay plein air. 8"x 10" oil plein air. Did this one from the B&B yard in Oban Scotland. 11"x 14" oil plein air (sold). Did this one in the plein air Camp Hill juried competition. It was awarded 2nd place out of 120 paintings! 14"x 11" oil plein air (sold). This was the first one I did for plein air Camp Hill.

I was recently asked to have some cards made from my artwork, including this painting, which has been back in my studio since the early 1990's. It was sent with other paintings to a gallery in Kauai. Later, the gallery closed just days before Hurricane Iniki hit the Island! Fast forward two decades! Maybe I'll look for the photo of those Vanda Orchids one day.
