Thursday, January 14, 2010. New Leadership for Haiti. The move came just weeks after President Clinton, appointed United Nations special envoy to Haiti in May, assembled and led a historic summit of potential foreign investors to the country. The conference proved hopeful but may have highlighted the lack of government progress on the issues facing the country. The change also ushered in new Prime Minister Jean-Max Bellerive, who was nominated the day after Michèle Pierre-Louis was removed. We suffer the...

Share Your Thoughts: Musings on Haiti

http://rootsstories.blogspot.com/2010/05/musings-on-haiti.html

Tuesday, May 25, 2010. By Lynn Haney (April 2010 Trip to Gran Sous, Haiti). I awoke the first morning after our return from Gran Sous to the gentle sound of rain on the roof, classical music on the radio, and the security of my Connecticut life. I found it hard to believe that only 24 hours before, I had wakened to the sounds of roosters crowing, donkeys braying and dogs barking; the sounds of early morning in a remote mountain village in earthquake ravaged Haiti. I came to Gran Sous to assist them in wo...

Tuesday, May 25, 2010. A trip to Haiti (April 2010). Saturday night, April 25th, I returned home from Gran Sous and slept in my own bed with my down pillow. In Gran Sous I slept in a bed, but in a mosquito tent with my coat for a pillow. A tarantula over my head the first night! Mosquitoes, 3 inch cockroaches and geckos in our room every night. A symphony of animal sounds all night long – dogs barking, roosters crowing (it’s a myth that they only crow at daybreak! Simple things we take so for granted; cl...

Spiritual Healer Asa Bucolic - Home

Spiritual healing, healing, energy healing, reiki, hands on healing. Spiritual Healer Asa Bucolic. Traditionally, spiritual healing is healing in which the healer is felt to be an instrument of the divine, allowing the power of the divine to heal through him or her. I as a healer acknowledge that I do not do the healing, the healing comes from Jah (God, Creator). In a sense, as the healer I am only the instrument through which the person seeking healing surrenders to the divine. Much blessings and healing.

Roots

If we're going to heal, let it be glorious.". If I must be faithful to someone or something, I have, first of all, to be faithful to myself. If I didn't define myself for myself, I would be crunched into other people's fantasies for me and eaten alive.". An inspiration to be around. Minerva is by far one of my favorite yoga instructors. On top of all this she has a beautiful voice and is well versed on yoga philosophy, Ayurveda and she plays the harmonium (such a beautiful and meditative instrument).
