Sunday, February 20, 2011. I have had a great deal of trouble making friends and keeping them while battling depression. I know some people manage to reach out and remain in close contact with the people they care about when they are depressed. I am not one of those. My friendships have been fraught with problems and I have lost some wonderful people along the way. The fact that a few remain is due to their rare strength, loyalty and ability to forgive. I think too little of myself!

Friday, February 25, 2011. To medicate or not to medicate, that is the question. I have been depressed so long I remember when Prozac came out. I had just gotten out of one of my stays in a psych ward when I was prescribed Prozac. I can't say that it helped me much, but I do remember I felt pangs of hunger for the first time in years after taking it for about 2 weeks.
