There is nothing that will bring you to your knees faster than an “owie” that needs kissing, than an insistent demand for. That you cannot understand, than a middle-of-the-night screaming fit, than a softly whispered “mama” and a morning kiss. Every day, Aslan teaches me a million new things. May your hope never be dampened, little one.

Carson decided not to sleep while we were there though, little stinker, so we had to leave early because we all were just so exhausted! Carson got to ride on the 4 wheeler, he loved it! And he really enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner. It was his birthday! We are so Thankful for our wonderful family! Both our little family and our extended families.

Searching for the next big adventure in my own backyard. Aslan is 18 months–wow, a year and a half with our little spitfire. At Thanksgiving last year she wasn’t even big enough to eat dinner, and Thanksgiving the year before we had just announced that she was on her way. Life changes so fast. Aslan has been changing lightning fast herself lately, going through a word explosion. A week ago she was saying 1-2 new words a day, which we thought was amazing, but over the weekend it went up to 20-30 a day!
