Katie's sketches: September 2007
http://katiessketches.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
After a long lay-off, I'm resurrecting my enjoyment of drawing. Sunday, September 23, 2007. Not finished yet. I started on these about two weeks ago and had ground to a halt. I was thinking that maybe it wasn't going anywhere and was about to abandon ship, but somehow it magically resurrected itself and now I'm quite pleased with it so far. One of the apples went furry while it was waiting to be painted, but I'll worry about that later. They're from trees in the derelict garden next door.

Katie's sketches: Broad-bodied Chaser
http://katiessketches.blogspot.com/2008/06/broad-bodied-chaser.html
After a long lay-off, I'm resurrecting my enjoyment of drawing. Thursday, June 19, 2008. I went into the gardens at work today armed with a little sketchbook instead of a camera. It's a hard habit to break. I found a quiet corner and tried to draw some plants but didn't come up with much that I was that happy with. On my walk back to my desk, I spotted this male Broad-bodied Chaser. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Everydaymatters: list of challenges.

JennArt - fun artsy stuff: The Sketchbook Project 2011
http://jenniferwambach.blogspot.com/2010/09/sketchbook-project-2011.html
JennArt - fun artsy stuff. A collection of things from my sketchbooks, recent paintings and drawings, and the motivation to keep making new stuff so I have things to post. Monday, September 27, 2010. The Sketchbook Project 2011. Every now and then, I participate in a small-scale art thingy. With two, and soon to be three-children-under-four, I just can't delve into big landscape paintings or even colored pencil drawings like I'd like to. The first is too messy, and the second, too time-consuming. Now I n...

JennArt - fun artsy stuff. A collection of things from my sketchbooks, recent paintings and drawings, and the motivation to keep making new stuff so I have things to post. Monday, September 29, 2008. Five and a half years ago when my husband and I got married, I used one of my sketches for the program and favors. I was a little crazy and decided to do a lot of the stuff myself: design and assemble my own invitations, favors, decorations, placecards, welcome kits for out-of-towners, etc. One for August 2nd.

JennArt - fun artsy stuff. A collection of things from my sketchbooks, recent paintings and drawings, and the motivation to keep making new stuff so I have things to post. Monday, September 27, 2010. Why don't I draw more? Here's a really old sketch, done in 2002, I think. Pre-kids. Back when I could take the el downtown and go to the Art Institute's free day whenever I wanted. Dee's Art Journal: April 2009
http://www.deeoverly.net/2009_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 16, 2009. It's been raining here for a couple days now. But today is the tomorrow for the sun to come out. I'm a lousy singer, but I've caught myself singing the tomorrow song a few times in the last day or two. It may be too tiny for you see in this moody sky, but there is a bird flying high in the darkness. I put it there as a symbol of the search, the flying through the storm, moving through the darkness. We are always seeking the light. Have a grand day! 0 Please Commit Here. And don'...

Wednesday, February 3, 2010. For the Cookie Bakers Among Us. The folks over at the Cookie Cutter Shop have cutters for every shape of cookie you could dream of. I'm not much of a cookie baking person myself, but I do love to eat them. One day they asked me to draw a Gingerbread Boy cookie for their website. Then they asked if I'd draw him holding a cookie. As you can see, this month I have him holding a Valentine's cookie. I'm having a wonderful with these little creations and decided to share.
