Monday, September 14, 2009. I'm taking a pastels class here at work taught by the talented Bill Cone. Here's one of my first studies done while waiting for my carpool partner. It's a very small study. 3X5 inches or so. Cool beans Kelsey,. Hes got some great pieces on his blog. Seems like a very out-doorsey kinda guy.Ill be hes even got a beard? Octavio E. Rodriguez. Tuesday, July 17, 2007. I'm pretty excited cause this is my first year where I have a table! I'll be at table #F3 (see map below). I'm going to be selling a noir themed sketchbook. That's being printed right now. I just got the comp last week and it looks great! I should've gotten a photo of it before I gave it back to the printer, but I was too excited to get the final printing going. See everyone in San Diego! Congrats man, I'll see you there. I'll have to stop by and pick it up! Good luck at the con.

I decided to draw the water traditionally and then color and comp it onto my shot using Photoshop and Shake. It's been a learning experience and I owe a lot of it to Mr Gary Schumer. Here's a simple armature done with a steel rod, soft bendable wires, and epoxy putty. The smelly kind. Next, give it a nice coat of foil! And then, a base layer of sculpey.
