September 21, 2016. We took advantage of some extra “man-power”, and put up the bird nets and the raccoon fencing early in September. The timing was right, as the Luci Khulman was already a lovely colour. My job was to secure the bottoms of the netting – giving me the opportunity to take my little red tractor for a spin. A Leap of Faith. March 1, 2016. March 1, 2016. Its “Leap Day”: February 29th. This bonus day came with a special gift …. Glorious spring like weather. 12C temperatures with a brisk south west breeze felt more like late April than the end of February. But hey! I’ll take it! This time last year we could barely even find the vineyard as the vines were buries in 3 feet of snow. Heres to no more hard frosts…… Fingers crossed…. A Glorious Day for a Harvest.
