Every year, I do a pen and ink drawing for our holiday cards to send out. Usually I print them up on the copier, fold, cut, get envelopes in a matching size, etc. This year I took advantage of Vistaprint's special for 1.99 and picked a template online. So easy! This is my teaching blog with demonstrations, news, and all things fiber art. Friday, July 31, 2015. This is me - happy to be sitting in the shade of our new awning over the back patio! The patio faces west, which means blazing heat in the afternoons. Having the awning means it won't get too hot inside the house either, since it shades the slider. The horses are our neighbor's boarders. We feed them carrots every so often, and a couple of magnificent fellows they are! One of my new transparent collages.

Four Things For Friday. July 17, 2014. This little guy turned 10 last week. I wanted to mark this year for him, to give him something that he can keep with him always. I wanted him to have something from me that shows my love, but something that was also unique for him. I am knitting him a Sky Blanket. For each day of his 10th year I will check the sky at 1:00pm (the time he was born) and knit 2 rows on his blanket in the corresponding colour. Each row filled with intention and love, such a joy to knit.
