Happy Birthday, Evelyn! 05 October 2008 @ 08:56 pm. Happy Birthday, Evelyn! Evelyn turned 2 today! In just 2 years. All I can say is that i LOVE being her mom. We had a very mellow day. Rather than having a party, we decided to host the coffee hour after church with soup, snacks, and birthday cake! Her cake was a carrot cake this year. We opted to buy one rather than trying to make enough cake for 40 people. She seemed to like it just fine :-). Evelyn and her papa enjoying the food together.

We went to the Seattle Aquarium on Luke's day off this week. It - huckleberry jam. 21 February 2009 @ 10:51 am. We went to the Seattle Aquarium on Luke's day off this week. It was fun to see the various fish as well as sea mammals and birds. Evelyn was especially excited about the otters, seals, and puffins since she was already familiar with them in other ways. It was Octopus Week so we also enjoy extra info about them. Which one is your favorite, Evie? Getting a better view of the critters.

A doula, if you don’t know, is an assistant to the birthing mother, staying with her and helping make her comfortable and having a positive experience. I had a doula for Evie’s birth, which was great. She helped me feel confident and relaxed about what was normal.
