A working farm in Virginia since 1763. Just 50 miles from Washington, DC, Roseland Farm is a world apart. The original cabins were built in 1763 and 1788, and they were combined and extended in 1854. The 19th century "bank" barn stores 2,000 bales of hay above and shelters livestock below. Peter Stetson and Ron Bird became the seventh owners in 1997. A growing herd of South African Boar goats graze the West fields. The South fields grow hay to feed the goats in Winter and yield a surplus for sale.
