A stop refers to a change in either shutter speed, aperture, or ISO (film/digital sensor sensitivity), that either halves or doubles the amount of light allowed onto the film/digital sensor during the exposure. 2 What is the range of apertures on your camera (making sure you give only full stop differences). This depends on lenses, but my 60mm macro lens has the widest range so I'll use that as an example:. ISO 400, 1/125th at f2.8. ISO 400, 1/125th at f16.
