Threespirit: Jubilee!
http://threespirit.blogspot.com/2012/06/jubilee.html
Monday, 4 June 2012. It's Jubilee time here in old England. I'm not a massive patriot, nationalism can lead to terrible things, but I do think it's good to have a sense of who you are and where you come from. I'm happy to be a subject in a monarchy, it's archaic and antiquated but that's no reason to go republic in my mind! I even went to see the Queen when she started her Nationwide tour here in Leicester. I've got pictures but my phone died recently so they may be lost forever! To round it all off, I f...

Threespirit: April 2012
http://threespirit.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, 22 April 2012. Kids Week Clothing Challenge. I'm not sure if I'm ready for this! The deal is, sew 1 hour a day for 7 days and make some kids clothes with 100's of other people acting as your virtual cheerleaders.doesn't sound too rough as deals go. Following the success of the Itty Bitty Baby Dress. I made for Eliza I might try another of those, except my niece falls in between the sizes on offer so I'll have to draft my own pattern. For the top and this. For the bottoms to help me along!

what katy did: New year new you
http://imnotlefthandedeither.blogspot.com/2012/01/new-year-new-you.html
Tuesday, 3 January 2012. New year new you. This blog has been lying abandoned and abused for far too long. I'm not going to set myself a challenge this year (last year's failed so spectacularly) but I am going to start posting again. For library/work-related happenings, I'll still be using, whisper it, The Other Blog. For photography, I've started another Project 365 (or rather 366 this year), on Flickr. If I make it past March it'll be a miracle). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). New year new you.

what katy did: Year of pleasures #14: Haircuts
http://imnotlefthandedeither.blogspot.com/2011/07/year-of-pleasures-14-haircuts.html
Saturday, 9 July 2011. Year of pleasures #14: Haircuts. I love getting my hair cut. These days it's just nice to get an hour or two to myself, but I've always loved it - taking the time to sit down, read a trashy magazine that I'd never dare buy and have a cuppa while someone makes my hair look prettier than I ever could. Monday, 18 April 2011. Year of pleasure #11: Pretty socks. I've been on a bit of a downer over the past few weeks, not sure why really just lots of things getting on top of me (house moving getting nowhere, juggling finances, lack of sleep). I'm having a proper little pity party today! It means the little things that wouldn't normally annoy me make me so irate! Two things cheered me up - my lovely mum 'babysitting' Ella over the phone while I dashed round (thanks Mum! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Threespirit: May 2012
http://threespirit.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 16 May 2012. The weather here has been pretty miserable of late. That coupled with a real lack of funds can lead to pretty bored children. I bought Patrick a cheapo plastic plane and that kept them entertained for a while. You can practically taste the concentration! Patrick even did some secret spy letters with lemon juice (sorry, invisible ink! It kept them quiet whilst I arranged my lilac. A good day.with no rain! Labels: Crafting with children.
