A survey conducted by Help The Aged suggested television was the main source of company for nearly half of all over-65s , which reverberates the quote from post five. Was too technology driven and it didn’t seem to tackle the issues that I wanted to address, if anything it was more of an entertainment device that would soon become a hindrance to the user. It was only when I imagined myself as my ‘example user’ did I realise that the solution needed to be smaller interactions that would essentially thwart any possibilities for the user to feel isolated. I have added a voiceover to the video, the reason for this is so that I can help to describe the users actions, as on the original video it was rather uninformative. It harnesses the original idea that I wanted to include in that I wanted the piece to be informative. The reason that I think that this example works well is that the short and succinct sentences and paragraphs are ideal for providing information. The turning point was the puzzle idea, due to the process of interaction it seemed much more logical to trace user actions unbeknownst to them. It was the subtlety that I wanted to employ in my experience, which I think I have managed to successfully implement.
