Rosie's Knitting Circle: Kate's a Ravelry Star

http://rosiesknittingcircle.blogspot.com/2008/11/kates-ravelry-start.html

Wednesday, November 19, 2008. Kate's a Ravelry Star. A big Woot for Kate and Selbu Modern! It's made it to the Ravelry new and popular list - making her a Ravelry phenomenon. Thanks for the wonderful pattern, Kate, and thanks to everyone at Rosie's for making cool patterns for us! I have plans to make this, though I haven't put it in my Rav queue yet. Better go do that. It's a beautiful pattern, Kate! I was a party last night and spotted a truly fantastic Selbu Modern.I'll send blurry pics!

Tuesday, October 27, 2009. Halloween 2009: johnny rotten and sid vicious (by amber). This is probably the last year my children will allow me to dress them the way i want to dress them for halloween. i anticipate that next year i will have to honor requests for disney princesses and star wars or other things i do not care for. And so: johnny rotten and sid vicious. The headpiece (i hesitate to say "wig") is a bit. hyperbolic, i think someone called it. just as much ronald mc donald as johnny rott...Béla ...

Rosie's Knitting Circle: April 2008

http://rosiesknittingcircle.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html

Monday, April 28, 2008. I'm a new blogger and Courtney was kind enough to allow me into the circle! 160;I've been reading your blogs online for awhile now, and am amazed at all the wonderful work you have all created! 160;I am a fairly new knitter- self taught and am just picking up shaping techniques and trying my best to learn about all the different yarns out there.  . A little about myself: I'm 28, been knitting for about 3 years and work as a resident at Hahnemann Hospital.  . Lauren Jodi Van Scoy.

Rosie's Knitting Circle: September 2009

http://rosiesknittingcircle.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

Sunday, September 06, 2009. Knitters With Busy Lifestyles. Dear Rosie Knitters,. I wanted to re-introduce myself because I am listed as a contributor yet have not contributed anything recently to this blog. I've spent my morning reading through all the amazing projects and such and am really inspired by what everyone has created. I, sadly, have not been knitting lately, but that doesn't mean I haven't been craving all things creative. Reading about all the yarns I missed.oh my goodness. Knit and the City.

RosieBlogs: Bert's Mittens

http://rosieblogs.blogspot.com/2008/12/berts-mittens.html

Tuesday, December 02, 2008. Last week while Lisa was knitting another pair of mittens using this new Noro yarn, Yuzen. She started thinking out loud. Could you knit the mitten sideways and short-row the whole thing to create the shaping for the top of the hand? Could you do it and never have to sew a seam? Could you do it in one skein? Lisa always likes a challenge. Quoting her:. Download Bert's Mittens, December's Project of the Month, and have fun knitting this puzzle! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

http://rosieblogs.blogspot.com/2008/10/october-project-of-month.html

Wednesday, October 01, 2008. October Project of the Month! There are a few well known things about me. One, I really really love (read: am obsessed with) my dogs. Two, I am always cold. And three, I love to design vintage and classic inspired knits with a modern twist. Randomly, one day, I looked at the wall hanging and was immediately inspired. And so I began to knit! The end result is Selbu Modern. Download the free pattern below and come in and pick out your favorite modern color combination! Is your ...

http://rosieblogs.blogspot.com/2008/10/dahlia.html

Wednesday, October 15, 2008. A few weeks ago we got Ella Rae Lace Merino. In at the shop in 4 saturated and varied colors. Jen immediately dove for "Primarys" - a skein containing every rainbow color under the sun. Armed with her very bright skein, she set forth with the task of coming up with a pattern that highlighted the sproing, drape, twist and saturation of the yarn. Yarn of the week. Must Have. That. Yarn! Great pattern, Jen! It really does make that variegated yarn look delightful. Love it! Is yo...

Tuesday, August 17, 2010. We got a bit of a respite from the twins names Heat and Humidity heat last week. While it was lovely to be without them, Summer has come back for one last round (hopefully, one last round because really I can't take any more of this sweltering punishment! What's up in Rosie's sky?

What's up in Rosie's sky? What's on my mind.I write what I believe. Sunday, June 14, 2015. Sometimes when I am collecting shells on the beach, I find small treasures of broken glass. They aren't sharp shards that cut. The ocean has tumbled them into nuggets of what looks like frozen gelatin. The pieces have lost their slicing ability and have a soft beauty. What has been broken in your life dear reader? No matter how you try to carry it, a sliver works it's way into your heart. I still have the broken pi...
