The purpose of the Ross Churman Memorial Roping is to produce an annual calf roping that highlights horsemanship and sportsmanship through providing youth scholarships to those whom are involved in agriculture. Ross loved horses but his priorities in life were to God, his family and unselfishly helping through sharing his passions. Untold numbers of people, especially kids, learned the vital skills of horsemanship and roping through his guidance.
