Archive for February, 2009. The Land of Guinness. February 23, 2009. I know it’s not the clearest picture, so I’ll try to explain what is going on. The missles falling from the sky have Jewish stars on them. They are targeting a walled in city that appears to be trapping people trying to escape (hands raised in the air pleading for help), with blood flowing out of the city. Of course the city says Gaza on it. Random man sitting next to me: “Women… bloody hell”. Wales is “Rugby Mad”. February 16, 2009.

Archive for January, 2009. Hard Work and Determination. January 28, 2009. When you are growing up, your Mom and Dad always (or are supposed to) tell you that with hard work and determination, anything is possible. 99% of the time this just isn’t true, but fortunately, I fell in that 1% today. My old phone (see picture to the right). Was not only one of those old Nokias from 1999 that you get when go to Israel (horrible right? 8221; and they have the “Lebanon Express”:. Archive for May, 2009. Expectations vs. Realities. May 25, 2009. As the picture at the top shows, it is only fitting to start with the dreaded London weather. If you play that word association game with someone and say “London,” I can guarantee you that 95% of the people would respond with, “rain.” “It’s always overcast.” “It rains constantly.” “The weather sucks! 8221; I heard it all before I left, so I was expecting the worst. 8220;They drive on the wrong side of the road there! Archive for June, 2009. June 1, 2009. I decided to finish off my London blog on a good note with all the “gems” of the city. Everyone knows about Big Ben, Picadilly Circus, Buckingham Palace, etc., but what are the real treats in London that most people pass by without even realizing? After my 5 month journey here, I have a few places that I really like, and will miss a little when I leave. Most places are either good spots to eat or drink, but that pretty much covers anything anyways, right? There are m...

Archive for March, 2009. Classes are over and I’m ready to travel. March 29, 2009. Then I have my second exam May 29, and a paper due a couple weeks later. I may know the material now, but ask me again in 2 months when I need to sit my exam. I get just as much time to “prepare” for my exams as the length of the classes were themselves. I don’t get it. Just another crazy British thing I guess. Nazis Communists= One Interesting City. March 29, 2009. Above is the TV Tower, built by the East Berliners to try...
