Carolina on my mind. June 17, 2014. A Swap Shop Weekend. This past weekend I was part of something great. Over the past few weeks, I worked with the HopeMatch team planning and organizing a Community Swap Shop. This was our first time doing an event like this, so of course it had its hiccups, but all in all I think it turned out great! Tired and sore after a long two days, I couldn't have asked for a better weekend with an even better group of volunteers and friends who helped selflessly.

I've been given the go ahead by my hubby that we (I) can start decorating! As you can tell, fall has increasingly become my FAVORITE time of the year. Carolina on my mind. December 14, 2012. Wednesday will be my last day, it will be a bitter/sweet day. I have grown to care about my co-workers, they're my second family but it is time to move on. Time to spread my wings, discover new talents, find new opportunities. There is so much out there, I know I can find something I enjoy doing, I know I can make a difference somewhere! Carolina on my mind. August 30, 2013. Looking Up, Looking Forward! On Tuesday, I will officially be at my new job for 3 weeks! While at work I get to manage the building of our garage too! It was a little easier when I was at home, but I think I prefer keeping myself busy during the day. The stay at home was good for a couple weeks, but I needed to get out and do things. Carolina on my mind. November 4, 2012. My 25 - "Quarter life crisis"? I think I've accomplished a lot in just 25 years, however, I know there's so much more out there for me to do and see. One of my main goals in the next year is that I would like to be more involved in the community. I will look into volunteering at different places, I'd like to make a difference some place and just be a part of something good! Thanks to Lara, Miles and Jacob for coming out with us to make it a great birthday weekend!

Carolina on my mind. July 7, 2015. An Update on The Baker's - 2015 So Far! We are half way through the year already, how crazy is that? Six months have come and gone in a blink of an eye. It's hard to recall all the things we've done and been through. My sister along with her non-profit group and my parents went in together to purchase a gorgeous piece of land up in Virginia. It will be used for retreats, family gatherings and the occasional weekend getaway. We held another Swap Shop with HopeMatch!
