So here we are. But what are we doing? Posted October 6, 2010. Filed under: International Projects. Gustine Rotary has become involved in another project in South America. Its goal will be to provide 758 bee hives to 110 families in 5 communities in Bolivia. The goal of the project is twofold. First to provide a more stable pollination of crops that the small farmers grow for their primary income. Second is to provide additional income to the families through the sale of honey. This coming Saturday, June 4, Gustine Rotarians will be serving sandwiches featuring Wolfsen sausages at the annual Pick and Gather at Riverdance Farms. We will be assisted by the local Interact Club. The event features local foods, music, art, and organic blueberries and cherries. This is always an enjoyable day spent by the river! Schools participating will be Gustine, Orestimba, and four others! We believe this is the longest continually running tournament in California!
