To develop key messages for dealing with both the internal and external publics about the crisis for approval by the EMT. The Crisis Communications Team is responsible for preparing designated spokespeople to interface with the press; crafting web communications with key messages for delivery to Rotary’s internal audience using the web as the primary vehicle if possible.

Rotary International Disaster Recovery and Continuity Planning. Information Services (IS) is responsible for overseeing the recovery of all information systems and restoration of data centers. Information Services will alsor be responsible for monitoring computer security standards. The backup systems are to be operational at Rotary’s Distribution Center located at 7100 Lawndale, Lincolnwood, IL 60712, within the following system recovery time objective (RTO) of an alternate invocation.

Rotary International Disaster Recovery and Continuity Planning. If a disaster befalls the World Headquarters’ Building, the General Secretary is in charge of all recovery efforts. The General Secretary is to initiate disaster recovery procedures, the Emergency Management Team (EMT) will activate their call tree. The EMT will contact division leaders to activate their recovery team to follow the procedures contained in their Business Continuity plan/Disaster Recovery plan, until recovery is complete.
