GSE 2010 District 1760. Thursday, June 10, 2010. Avignon, Orange and Uzès. Our time in Avignon began first with lunch - bien sur. Followed by an afternoon of professional visits. Well rested after my usual nap en route. To any destination, this meant for me a tour by car of Avignon and Villeneuve-lès-Avignon (across the Rhône from Avignon proper) before lunch at my host's cabanon in Les Angles. I was very much delighted with my meal, it had my name all over it - literally! To describe adequately the food...

GSE 2010 District 1760. Monday, June 14, 2010. The end of the road. Ravel Pottery was also on the list of famous local businesses to visit - founded in 1837 pottery is still handmade here according to traditional methods. It looked so easy in the hands of one of the potters, but Deb and Rosemarie can vouch that it is harder than what it looks. They came up with some interesting shapes before each managed to create bowls of some description but certainly had lots of fun. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

I know this is going to be a good sector when the. Our constit...

GSE 2010 District 1760. Thursday, December 10, 2009. GSE Selection weekend, 7-8 November 2009. 8220;Would you be interested in potentially participating in a Rotary exchange to France by any chance? 8221; The email at work made me sit upright – I mean, who wouldn’t be? Our group had to do the affirmative response – “of course” we said, a century and a half of eating foie grass and truffles sloshed down with Dom Perignon does sound more appealing than meat-and-three-veg doesn’t it? Thanks for visiting our...
