http://ketchupkoontzs.blogspot.com/2015/02/one-of-reasons.html
Ketchup with the Koontz's. Monday, February 16, 2015. One of the Reasons. There are a lot of reasons that we serve with Mercy Ships. The primary one is that God called us to. Each day we come into contact with a lot of other reasons: our fellow crew; patients and potential patients; the Malagasy community. Sometimes, though, there is a particular patient that, while no more important than. 8220;One year ago, I was waiting for the time, ‘When, God, are you going to take me? For three days they walked and ...

Ketchup with the Koontz's: Here, There, and Everywhere
http://ketchupkoontzs.blogspot.com/2015/01/here-there-and-everywhere.html
Ketchup with the Koontz's. Saturday, January 31, 2015. Here, There, and Everywhere. We got to fly with MAF on this last trip. I got to fly in the copilot seat! On this last trip I also got to learn some new Malagasy phrases (not an easy language to learn) and horse around with a couple of little boys who were tired of waiting in line with their mom. It was also the first time my Malagasy security translator/partner had been on an airplane. He was giddy, and it was so awesome to see. Grace - age 18. We se...

Ketchup with the Koontz's. Sunday, March 1, 2015. Dear Family and Friends,. For those that are already financially supporting us we prayerfully ask that you continue to do so. In fact, we are asking those who have not supported us financially in the past to consider doing so. That said, it is also difficult to say goodbye to such a special home, so many wonderful people, and, of course, to Africa. Please join us in prayer and perhaps financially. Links to this post. Ketchup with the Koontz's. Sunday, November 9, 2014. Whether the 'no' comes at the pre-screening station or after the full screening, it is always hard. This is especially true when we see kids that have terrible conditions that are terminal, outside of our scope of practice, or things that simply can't be helped (e.g. cerebral palsy). http://ketchupkoontzs.blogspot.com/2015/06/arrived.html
Ketchup with the Koontz's. Monday, June 22, 2015. We continue to volunteer with Mercy Ships and rely on the support of others to fulfill the mission God has called us to. So, we're here. We're trying to sort out how to reintegrate into things like commutes, grocery shopping, home repairs (our hot water tank ruptured a little over a week ago), etc. We have been continually blessed along the way and are looking forward to this season. http://ketchupkoontzs.blogspot.com/p/our-story.html
Ketchup with the Koontz's. We are an ordinary family of six, doing ordinary things, in a not so ordinary environment. We serve with Mercy Ships, a non-governmental organization, that focuses on bringing hope and healing to the poor of Western Africa through free, specialized surgeries onboard our ship, the Africa Mercy. For more information on Mercy Ships and the Africa Mercy please go to the Mercy Ships. So, how did we end up here? We flew back to Washington, Peter quit his job at the fire department, w...

Ketchup with the Koontz's. Friday, September 19, 2014. However, there is also no denying that the nation is ranked 155th out of 187 countries on the United Nations Human Development Index (with lower numbers representing higher levels of development). Like many countries that we have been - and perhaps even more so - the natural beauty stands in stark contrast to the poverty of the people. Hollywood has. Links to this post.
