It is a thriving town surrounded by history, and is located in the Dordogne 30 kms to the south east or Perigueux. Most of the posts on here will be about the town and things that are going on in and around the area. Just another WordPress.com site. A bit about the town. This picture was taken by a local ex-pat. It is taken from the south of Rouffignac. In the centre one can see the 15th century church, this is the only part of the town that survived the destruction by the German army during the second world war. A biker's guide to the dordogne. If you need fuel then the supermarkets are the place to buy it. You will find motorways fuel stops very expensive. The fuel is sold in 3 different grades at most stations. 98 which is the octane rating, 95 which is suitable for 90% of bikes and 95E10 which contains 10% ethanol.
