Jennifer's Trip to the Middle East. Monday, November 1, 2010. My first view of the pyramids. The Pyramids of Giza. Today was a very exciting morning because we went to the pyramids. The Great Pyramids are much larger than I had expected. It was pretty hot there at 10 am. I heard the muslim call to prayer for the first time today, and saw a number of men sporting some serious rug burn on their foreheads (bruising) - dedicated muslim men of prayer. For those who may wonder, the pyramids were there long bef...

Jennifer's Trip to the Middle East: A Day by the Nile River
http://buddygirlgoeseast.blogspot.com/2010/11/day-by-nile-river.html
Jennifer's Trip to the Middle East. Monday, November 1, 2010. A Day by the Nile River. I got my camel ride today! It was cool also because we were in the desert and the sun was setting. There's nothing like it. Our tour group leader calls us the "Champions", so I feel like quite a hero! Right now I'm sitting on the roof-top of the hotel, overlooking the Nile. It's 8pm - which is 1 pm in winnipeg. Across the nile is desert and a hill with the tombs of ancient princes. it's stunning at night. Nov 6 - Dahab.

http://buddygirlgoeseast.blogspot.com/2010/11/let-it-go.html
Jennifer's Trip to the Middle East. Monday, November 1, 2010. As we were leaving Amita's place, 14 hours after arriving in Cairo, she called out the hall after us, "Remember, just let it go". I surmised that they were words of wisdom, but at the time I didn't know just how that advice would take on meaning. I've been in Egypt 4 days now and I've discovered her words rang true on many levels. Just Let it Go". Let go of the fact that we are constantly harrassed to purchase things. Jennifer's Trip to the Middle East. Saturday, November 20, 2010. It's been a great trip. 24 days in 3 countries. I've slept in 12 different beds. I've been to the Nile River, Dead Sea, Sea of Galilee, Mediterranean Sea and Red Sea. I've had available to wear only 1 pair of shorts, 2 pants (only needed 1), 2 shirts and 2 tank tops. My most fav moments: snorkeling in the coral reef, pyramids, Abu Simbel temple, Sea of Galilee, Petra. Hung out with some great people during the Egypt tour! Churches that you ...
