A chronicle of a two week trip down historic Route 66 with a father and his 16 year old son in the summer of 1999. Wednesday, August 25, 1999. Becky and Phillip were waiting to wave us in with checkered flags then John and Madi came over and we all had lunch at Gringo's. 28 October 2007 @ 07:34 pm. Seguin, Texas. Mileage - 172,768. 5,693 Trip Total. We had a beautiful fall afternoon to drive through the beautiful Texas hill country and arrived in Seguin at 7:00 pm. A pleasant afternoon with our former pastor and his wife. 5,421 Trip Total.

Driving Route 66 - Andre and Valarie. A follow-on trip after my Dad and my first experience with 66 in 2008. Wednesday, April 28, 2010. I guess Andre cannot be convinced. After that, we drove through Oklahoma City and their beautiful capitol. It's a bit like DC in that you approach the capitol and you can see the dome for quite a ways before you reach it.
