Glassworks Magazine Submission Manager - Craft Essays

https://glassworksmagazine.submittable.com/submit/23777

Craft essay up to 1500 words. Glassworks seeks writing about writing or new media. Craft essays may have elements of scholarship and research, but should largely be thoughtful meditations or theoretical considerations applied practically through explications of writing or new media art. Craft essays should not function as reviews or evaluative writing, but should offer insight into a work's construction and rhetorical function. In other words, show us how it's made and teach us how it works.

Glassworks Magazine Submission Manager - Flash Fiction, Micro Essays, and Prose Poetry

https://glassworksmagazine.submittable.com/submit/37410

Flash Fiction, Micro Essays, and Prose Poetry. Up to three shorts under 500 words. Flash fiction, micro essays, or prose poetry. Flash is often defined by what it isn't: it isn't more than 500 words, it isn't a full narrative, it isn't plot or character or just a poems without line breaks. Flash, however, is an opportunity. For the reader: to rotate a whole in the mind, to encounter language pruned and curated, a candy quick to dissolve that lingers on the tongue. Create Account and Continue.

Ends on December 15, 2016. One work up to 5500 words. OR three shorts under 1000 words. Considering that craft is not genre specific, we welcome prose with a range of forms, subjects and aesthetics. However, we will not publish pure "genre" pieces that do not re-imagine their position as works of literature, nor are we interested in highly experimental or literary work that is not honest, accessible, or relatable. A great WordPress.com site. Is Texting Ruining or Helping Communication? As a studying teacher, I have heard texing is going to ruin communication. However I am not sure if the arguement has evidence to show texting ruining our speech/language. Most people talk to their friends differently than their boss or parent. I would not text my mom saying “hey, going out. bye” I would say “Hey Mom! I am going out with Alex/Krissy tonight. I won’t be home until around midnight. Love you! Political Voice of Facebook.
