Closer to 2 than to 1. November 4, 2011. November 4, 2011. I keep not updating because I don’t have time to do a complete update. But then that is snowballing because the longer I wait the longer I need. So I’m going to do a brief update to try to at least catch up some of what is going on these days. I made Lorelei a little nook for her room. I call it her “house” and she loves it. We put her little toddler couch in there and she runs in and sits on it. The food was good! October 16, 2012. So I haven’t posted since before Lorelei’s second birthday. We had a big party in our yard, similar to the one the year before. It had a faerie theme, and there were lots of wings and colorful decorations. In July we went to White Lake. We took her to the mountains, where I got to show her the Pisgah overlook, the special tree, and the spot where Aspen is buried. Yep, she’s still rear facing in her car seat. At 2.5 she still has plenty of room to grow. She temporarily became a cat.

September 15, 2013. September 15, 2013. So I got a hammock. I kept getting sniped at the very end of auctions, so I ended up going with a Buy it Now option that was about what I had been looking for anyhow. It came on Friday and they included straps! So I had to test out the new hammock with a hike at Eno State Park this weekend. It seemed only fitting that I try out my ENO hammock at Eno. Lorelei walked the whole way! Two infiltrated IV's, 5 pokes last night for labs/a new IV, and a red rawhide butt from diarrhea and we're home! So Excited. So. Exhausted. The final diagnosis was the two viruses I mentioned yesterday. Rowan is nowhere near 100%. But she was eating today and there were way more smiles. We are so very blessed!
