Rowanston on the Track. Chosen by Hong Kong Jockey club as its 2012 Anniversary Wine. A full bodied complex wine with white pepper and raspberry characteristics. Its deep red-purple colors are typical of Shiraz grown in this high altitude cool climate. The key to our wines begins in the vineyard with hand pruning, moisture monitoring, minimal to zero use of chemicals and meticulous selection of ripe rich berries for winemaking. First plantings occurred in 1995. The heavy red soils (terra rossa) hold moisture and the volcanic outcrops develop white peppery characteristic in the red wines, whilst the cool nights and slow ripening period produce rich full fruit flavours. 2014 2014 Riesling Best White Wine (other than Chardonnay class).

Fermented naturally in the bottle. Current Vintage 2012, selling for $25 a bottle at cellar door. Sparking White Wine Blanc de Noir is the French term meaning white wine from red grapes and is made entirely from Pinot Noir grapes. This champagne style wine has floral and citrus flavours, with a long, soft, lingering, creamy texture. Blanc de Noir is produced by removing the skins from the juice after the grapes have been pressed to prevent the colour of the grape skin colouring the wine.
