In 1966, British Paratroopers Chay Blyth and John Ridgway rowed across the North Atlantic from Cape Cod on the North American Coastline to Ireland. Their voyage was a 92 day battle against hurricanes, 50 ft waves, and a near starvation diet, and remains a benchmark for human adventure to this day. Their trip laid the foundations for the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge, a 3,000 mile unsupported race from San Sebastian in the Canary Islands to Nelson’s Dockyard English Harbour, Antigua. JAMES WENTWORTH-STANLEY MEMORIAL FUND. Charming, funny, good looking, confident, popular, athletic, intelligent. James was all of the above and so much more, he really had it all. He was in his second year at Newcastle University, 21 years old, and full of life. Ten days later James was no longer with us. On 15th December 2006, at the age of 21, he made the most tragic and irreversible decision to end his life. James’ parents started the James Wentworth-Stanley Memorial Fund (JWSMF).

He's a Chartered Surveyor and works in the Development Land team at Savills. He's a man of the outdoors, happiest when on skis in deep powder. Rowing is in Harry's blood, his father Nick having rowed for Great Britain as a youngster, and at 6'6" he is suitably equipped with the right levers.
