Rowing Grand: Old Friends
http://rowinggrand1.blogspot.com/2011/03/old-friends.html
60 woman talks about friendship, travel, and taking risks. Saturday, March 26, 2011. Last month we went on a cruise to Nassau. "We" are a gang of women who have been friends since we were 1 year ol. D, more or less. One was a late-comer, showing up in our lives around first grade. This cruise was a celebration of our 60th birthdays, which we will all celebrate in 2011. The photo is out of focus, thankfully - an old Hollywood trick to disguise wrinkles! Man it was funny! We had masks and whistles and thos...
Rowing Grand: May 2010
http://rowinggrand1.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
60 woman talks about friendship, travel, and taking risks. Saturday, May 29, 2010. Pueblo Lake State Park. We just spent two nights camping at Pueblo Lake. As you can see by the photos, it is plains camping; a very far cry from mountain camping! That made this novice sculler very happy, as I always worry about crashing into someone, or being crashed into by someone who can't see my narrow, silver boat. The tent campsites were deserted except for one other tent. The RV sites had a few more people in t...

Rowing Grand: Our Mini Amazing Race
http://rowinggrand1.blogspot.com/2010/07/our-mini-amazing-race.html
60 woman talks about friendship, travel, and taking risks. Thursday, July 1, 2010. Our Mini Amazing Race. Two photos from our Mini Amazing Race, called the Citychase. These races are held all over the world, sponsored by Tmobile and Blackberry. My friend C and I had an absolute blast! And did it all a second time while I tried to figure out the stupid Blackberry! It was hilarious. The next challenge was to kayak down the Confluence, over rocks! I begged the guy to set the speed for Senior Division but he...

Piggyback to the Peak: Quick Cloth Diaper Update
http://piggybacktothepeak.blogspot.com/2010/07/quick-cloth-diaper-update.html
Piggyback to the Peak. Exploring Colorado Springs with Baby Sabey. Friday, July 9, 2010. Quick Cloth Diaper Update. Most of you probably won't care about this, but I feel like I should post a quick update on how the cloth diapers are working out for us. I was thrilled about them last time I mentioned it, but we have had a few problems since then and I don't want anyone to take my earlier recommendations without knowing the whole story. There's a possibility that this has been a failed experiment and a wa...

Piggyback to the Peak. Exploring Colorado Springs with Baby Sabey. Wednesday, July 28, 2010. This garden is out of control! View from one end of the garden. Note to self: Buy taller tomato stakes for next year. View from the other end. All that green stuff? I'm learning a lot this year. I had no idea what a broccoli plant would look like. My beautiful basil. I have four gorgeous rows of this stuff! Purple beans. They will turn green when cooked. Yummy! Believe it or not, the yellow variety are sweeter th...

Piggyback to the Peak: June 2010
http://piggybacktothepeak.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Piggyback to the Peak. Exploring Colorado Springs with Baby Sabey. Wednesday, June 30, 2010. I received several different styles of infant carriers and slings when I was pregnant with Claire. I tried each one and never felt completely comfortable wearing them; either I was afraid that she was not secured safely or the awkward positioning hurt my back. Eventually, my mom made me a "Moby" style wrap (google it for instructions - so easy to make! One of the two zucchini plants. One of the hills of cucumbers.

Piggyback to the Peak. Exploring Colorado Springs with Baby Sabey. Wednesday, July 28, 2010. It turns out that having two kids is a lot of work. Bedhead and her first bug bite. July 29, 2010 at 6:41 AM. July 29, 2010 at 1:28 PM. Eat Z Good Stuff!
