Small tales from rowley. Before the rich outsiders came. Rowley massachusetts used to be a very small town indeed. not quite so small anymore. about 3500 souls in the years I lived there, but now it’s probably about 5000. almost a doubling in population since I left there, almost for good, in 1984. in an era where everything must be MORE and BIGGER, many would see this population increase as something to grin about. I’m not grinning. Maybe the answer will reveal itself as I write this blog.
