Thursday, April 29, 2010. Aside from that Aberrant was a great game. It's a conspiracy game that just so happens to have superpowered beings roaming around in it. It was interesting trying to figure out who was pulling what strings when you had hyper-intelligent and super-charismatic people everywhere. The GM that I played with for two years has started a new game. This time it is set in the current day and the real world. Monday, April 26, 2010. Point Buy vs. Level. I have seen some very bizarre amalgamations. Level based systems that award points to buy stats and skills for your character when you level up. I am not entirely sure the point of doing that. Why not just award points? My friends and I spent this past weekend down at Smith Mountain Lake (if we actually left our house and utilized some of the lake’s amenities I’d blog about it). Upon determining our route from Harrisonburg, I noticed much of the trip was along small country roads. After getting off 81 about an hour south of Harrisonburg, we were directed through the George Washington National Forest. Via route 43 east @ Buchanan, Virginia.
