Africa, from Northern Tanzania into Somalia and Ethiopia. Named for their long necks, “Gerenuk” translates to “giraffe-necked” in the Somali language (sometimes people call them giraffe-necked antelope). These animals are fairly obvious to recognize, as no other antelope has such a distinct long neck. All photographs taken by Roshan Patel.
