A semester abroad in Cuba: La Habana meets Namita. After nearly four months of blogging, supply shortages is my most commonly used tag. This isn’t surprising since it’s nearly impossible to find anything in Cuba. For example, I searched for four weeks for watercolors. Our program director searched for six weeks for a nail clipper. Neither of these experiences is out of the ordinary. The menus have changeable slats to accomodate for supply shortages. The buildings are in disrepair and regularly collapse.
