We all bought cheap little cell phones when we first got to China that were popular in the US around 2000. Beijing and the White Girl. Just another WordPress.com site. As it comes to an end. April 27, 2011. I’m going to assume this is my last post considering I’m back in New Jersey, and as much as I’m a New Jersey girl at heart, it’s not quite as exciting being a White Girl as it is in Beijing. It was a crazy whirlwind of four months and I feel like it went by in a few minutes, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I’ve been relishing in the food (I finally had my eggplant parm! Who’s coming with me? 8221; P...

Beijing and the White Girl. Just another WordPress.com site. Ha, right, pedestrian laws. March 10, 2011. Beijing is a major, central Chinese city. This is not new information and what comes with this city, or any city for that matter is traffic. New York is a cloud of yellow taxi cabs that drive quickly down streets and zip around corners. There’s always traffic at 5 pm, but luckily NYC has a no honking law (at least I believe this to be true). This entry was posted in Uncategorized. I have just caught u...

I really love walking around this campus because of the racial differences of everyone. While the Han Chinese still dominate the population of the campus, it is nice to live around here because of the diversity and the food choices that comes with the diversity (there are a lot of Muslim restaurants which are delicious). Beijing and the White Girl. Just another WordPress.com site. Newer posts →. March 8, 2011. I guess saying “cheese” is just as weird as saying “eggplant” when smiling for a picture. But for some reason I don’t associate eggplant with smiling, or joy for that matter. Is it the round nature of this plant that made Chinese people choose to say it when taking a picture? Or is it the happiness you feel when you eat an eggplant Parmesan sandwich? You don’t feel well and you don’t want to talk? March 2, 2011.
