Kara and I were pretty much ready to get home as soon as we could (as was Kai), so we did our best! Ready to get out of here!

How we got here…. How we got here…. So, we are often asked why we decided to adopt…and why internationally? The best way I can explain this is that we have always discussed adopting a child, even very early on in our marriage. But then we started having children and that can be. Just a little bit. All-consuming. We never forgot or gave up on the idea, but we had our hands full with 3 lovely children. After Lucy was born Kara decided that she was. So, no getting out of it now! Why not a domestic adoption?

I groaned at the glare and gasped as I checked the time. A sigh of relief soon followed as I realised it was my day off. The world felt like my oyster. I leisurely strolled out to make a coffee, checked my emails and notifications and hummed happily as I opened the apartment’s blinds to reveal the stunning day it was.
