The car had not been driven in 15 years and was the subject of much abuse in the period before that. However it came with some brand new parts and improvements to the suspension that were done by the fellow I bought it from. I purchased my MG Midget in July of 2006 and it is in beautiful condition. Saturday, April 06, 2013. All of these rails have had two thin coats of sealer. These are the insert nuts. I have shown each end for clarity. Note. The key end on the right which is up upon insertion. After the nuts are secure and test bolts screwed in to test the thread, the teak plugs are set in the top rail and the rail finished with eight coats of varnish.
