A combination of front and rear feet. Just one front foot, but in the middle of the target. I don’t like to see just rear feet or one front foot on the edge of the target. Friday, April 20, 2012. New Titles For The twocavs. The advanced gamble run was lovely for both dogs - both got the mini gamble twice and racked up a ton of points. The main gamble was a bit too hard for their current skill level - we haven't worked a lot on distance work. I was really pleased with both of them though. We have things to work on- Max is not fast off the start line so keeping his attention and having him blast off is one of my main goals for him. I want to start working a bit more distance...

Wednesday, December 26, 2012. My dogs keep me so honest. I have a brand new fancy training room. The dogs love it, I love it. Since my surgery though the arm has been rather sore again. My cast came off on the 21st but being only a week after becoming bionic the arm is still pretty tender. With no cast I'm nervous about bumping or having the dogs jump on it. Here is a video of Max helping me with laundry while Rylie supervises off camera. Love your training space - and what a helpful dog! Guilty Pleasure...

Tuesday, January 1, 2013. In summer we go to Say Yes summer camp where once again we learn tons. We continue to train and trial over the summer and fall and our teamwork just keeps getting better and better and we have more and more fun at each trial. Monday, July 30, 2012. Regardless we managed to get a qualifying score under a very generous judge. It was fun. We might take some rally classes this winter during our agility hiatus. I let Engineering Dad run Rylie in the jumpers course. It was far harder than any starters jumpers course I have ever run and now I think Engineering Dad has a lot more respect for the fact that there really is some skill involved in handling! Sunday, September 23, 2012. Last Sunday was the CFSO picnic. Great fun with lots of Cavaliers of all sizes running around. I won a door prize again this year - Yeah! Next was our gamble run. Both dogs have been over a year without a gamble Q. Working away from me isn't something we practice a lot and while neither of them mind me being a distance. Sunday, January 6, 2013. In dog training we have started the first nosework lesson. Both dogs thought it was great. I am finding that videoing helps me critique my own mechanics. For some reason I thought he was heading to the dog walk which is why I called him but he clearly isn't. Towards the end of the second video Rylie leaves the picture. Adventures in Agility – Whippet Style! Running Contacts Madness Continues. May 12, 2015. We haven’t been training much, but Java was hitting her mat like a pro. Any distance, any place. True, we only used racing to a food bowl as a reward, but it looked awesome. Until she got back and tummy problems. And it all went downhill. :(. And it wasn’t just the first session.
