Thursday, November 5, 2009. Well, folks, the baby was our friend today. It's a girl! We've got to go now and start looking for names. We'll update soon on Halloween and other fun things. We have had some technical difficulties here at this White house, and because of it we have not been able to post birthday wishes, so here it goes. Our nephew, Joey, turned the big 3-0 last week. Celebrating the Quadities of Life. Monday, January 10, 2011. New year, new list of books! Last year I managed to read 24 books! Certainly better than the 19 I read the year before! Still nowhere close to Becky or Michelle, and I assume they both beat me at the Pulitzer race. Also, but that’s okay. The reading is fun no matter what! 1-3 I wish I could burn all copies of this book. 4-6 Had a few things going for it, but definitely not my favorite. 9-10 One of the best, highly recommended. By Mary Shelley- 8.

Saturday, January 16, 2010. Riding the ducks in the cold, cold weather. We ran into Kitely and her parents at the cars while we were at Dollywood. The girls were so excited to see each other and ride the cars together. Mommy, Kate, and Daddy outside the beautiful butterfly in lights (as Kate called it). Handprints on My Heart. Monday, January 18, 2010. The snow we had the first week of January was enough to shut down the city, but not enough to really play in. We tried to sled a bit in our neighborhood, but we only got in a few snow angels before the frigid temps drove us back inside. It was nice to have several days of unexpected nothingness! We went snow tubing today (MLK Day) at Ober Gatlinburg. So fun! Randy (to me): "I can smell the propane gas in here.". H: "That was me! Not THAT kind of gas!
