The Quoddy Loopers: June 2014
http://quoddyloopers.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 30, 2014. Sandra Lewis' halloween rug. Finished May 21, 2014. It’s called Hallowe’en and the designer is Bonnie Nelson. Measures 20 ½” X 24. I have admired this cheerful little guy all the while Sandra was working on him and I am happy to see him finished and ready to hang around. Sandra dyes her own blues for her rugs and they make whatever she is working on stand out. Great job, Sandra. Links to this post. Sunday, June 29, 2014. New Brunswick Covered Bridge Project. For the rooms upstairs, restored the fireplace. An update is in progress), etc. We enjoy having conversation pieces in our old house (one sister calls it a museum). One of them is the candleh...

The Quoddy Loopers: scrappy mats X 2
http://quoddyloopers.blogspot.com/2014/07/scrappy-mats-x-2.html
Wednesday, July 23, 2014. Scrappy mats X 2. At tonight's hooking in St. Andrews there was 3. Sandra, Susan and me. Susan was finishing up a chair pad that was a nice combination of colours. Golds, I'd say. We thought about whether when you finished it was when you finished hooking or when it was completed. I guess either one works. Next time I will take a camera. Star Rug Company: July 2014
http://starrugcompany-maria.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 29, 2014. Another rug in progress from Holland. Be still my heart - look what Bea was hooking at Holland Rug Camp! Her rendition of my Two Sheep and Star pattern makes me smile. From the wonderful background which combines a mixture of textures of rusty tweeds, orange herringbones and many more wools. To the terrific way she was mixing the wool to give the sheep fleece movement. I had suggested wool yarn or faux pixelating to give the sheep more texture and depth but th. Links to this post.
