Being a Goodwood Explorer. Tuesday, December 6, 2016. At the zoo there were many animals to look at. The peacock waved it's feathers at us. It tickled Eilis. Saoirse saw lots of circles and she thought it almost made a pattern. Rhinos look strong and heavy but they can run really fast. Gosh they must eat a lot of food. Spider monkeys look like spiders when they stretch their arms and legs out to climb. Here's the Kunekune. They looked like they needed a shower. We had so much fun! Is it going to work?

Being a Goodwood Explorer. Thursday, September 8, 2016. Our challenge was to build a bridge using sticks, tape and blocks to get the Gingerbread Man across the river so he didn't need the fox. What do you think? Is it going to work? We built bridges that could help the Gingerbread Man to cross the river without having to go on the fox's back. At first some of our bridges didn't reach across the river so we had to have another think about this and make some changes to our plans. October 8, 2016 at 11:35 AM.

Being a Goodwood Explorer. Thursday, May 12, 2016. Balloons for learning with fun! We started with a flat balloon and blew into the balloon! Oh my goodness it was quite hard. When we blew them up they popped because we blew them up with too much air! After we put water in the balloon we put it in the freezer. After we took it out of the freezer it felt like ice. I learnt how to blow up a balloon. You had to take a deep breath and blow into the balloon. My cheeks went red! Guess what noise they will make?

Being a Goodwood Explorer. Saturday, August 13, 2016. I am making the choice to write on my own! I am doing so well at writing my ideas independently. We can write on the iPads as well. We are really great at editing our work. I use really interesting vocabulary when I write. I love writing so much that I want to do it all the time! Being a Goodwood Explorer. Sunday, April 3, 2016. A new way to write. Is so much fun. We can really help one. Another. We started by reading the big book about Pirate Polly. One thing we already know about Pirates is that they need to be able to use a map to find their treasure! Ruma Ruru decided that they would hide some of their own treasure and write some instructions to help each other in. Eilis and Katie wrote 'Look under the little chair'. Alex and Max wrote look behind the water bottles.

We are having a growing competition with Ruma Kakapo. Lots of our seedlings have started to pop up. We have noticed that the lettuce has just started to pop up. We are pretty excited. Ruru's Learning Journey

Sunday, August 9, 2015. In week 3 we continued to meet with our buddies but in a very special way. Four Ruma Ruru children were able to go up on stage!
