I had, for some time now, labored under the assumption that the USA was a center-right country. It quite clearly is not. I live in a leftist country. I had attributed Obama’s win in 2008 to people’s guilt over slavery. However yesterday shows that the majority want to be led to the left. Perhaps that was the case in 2008 as well.
