Day 4 Recap - Brenham to Tomball. November 21, 2014. We began today with the sad news that Pat's dog had to be put down due to kidney failure. As soon as we got to the starting point, she was on the phone with her husband getting the news. The last time we saw him was at the Veterinarian en route from Concordia. From Chappel Hill, the only way across the Brazos River that didn't require a 10 mile detour was Highway 290. So we just put our heads down and ran on the shoulder for about 7 miles or so....

November 17, 2014. Today was the kick off for our run from Austin to Houston. The day began at Concordia TX where our team led chapel. Then, Concordia CEO Dr. Don Christian escorted us out of the parking lot along with Dr. Joel Heck. I'm glad they stopped when they did, because I was getting nervous with all the competition. Day 1 - Here already? November 17, 2014. Getting everything packed up and ready to go. We start at 10:30 today at Concordia University, Texas with chapel. From there it's only 35 miles or so for our first day. By that time the temps will be little higher than 40, but still beautiful running weather. My message for chapel is from 2 Samuel 10:1 2. Be of good courage, and b. Let us be courageous for our people, and for the cities of our God, and may the LORD do what seems good to him. Run 4 The City.
