I had my running consultation with the PT the other day, and realize I run better with out my headphones. The moment I took them off I could increase my time almost by a full mile per hour. I've met with the orthopedic surgeon; no meniscal tear. I have a few arthritic spurs on my right knee. I can only imagine a few growing on the left knee. He suggested a lot of SAIDS (anti-inflammatories) and to begin physical therapy again, now that we know which muscles to specifically target. No dairy for me!

October 4, 2011. I cannot believe that the Chicago Marathon is less than 5 days away. When this whole thing started, the training program seemed like such a daunting task.so many. Questions, concerns and what ifs. It was not long before the 3 mile runs turned to 6 mile runs and long runs became double digit.
