Yesterday, the day before the race, I got up and looked outside. It was sleeting sideways. The wind had blown the stop light on the corner of Sheridan and Briar over. Great. Let's go running. So I was pretty worried that the Shamrock Shuffle which kicks off marathon training might be a bit disappointing. Lots of laughs there!

Had a GREAT idea today for some "speed" work. I planned to run three miles but at above my usual pace and rest and stretch between miles. Good plan! Are you freaking kidding me! 5 minutes of stretch and rest. Second mile" 10:15 Not bad. I didn't think another 9 minute mile was going to happen. More stretching and resting. After a week off. . .

I know it's only a 5k but I look forward to any small challenge. My plan today was to take it fairly easy by only running 2 miles at about a 11 minute pace. Mile 1 - 9:55. Mile 2 - 9:32. 12 de nov de 2012. Na vida existem momentos de extremo desafio, onde conseguimos vencer atravéz da superação e da obstinação em alcançar o alvo. A corrida é um esporte que se conecta com o emocional, resultando na química que o corpo precisa para viver bem. Dentro destes dois pensamentos participo no domingo dia 11, dos 10k mais difíceis até hoje. Terminei a prova em 1 hora, nunca tinha demorado tanto nos 10k, mas pelo percurso está valendo.
