Taking the high road to mid-life: a couch potato decides to run 240 miles in 5 months. Thursday, February 25, 2010. OK, so this running thing is hard. And on top of it, apparently I need new shoes. I thought running was the only free sport. But I digress. Anyway, needed 1.4 miles still at the end of it all and I just didn't have it. My one banana was long since burned and I still just can't bring myself to eat more than that at five in the morning. Not good, not good at all. Oy I'm not sure about this.

By the time I finished my warmup, the rain started falling pretty heavily, and I decided I better start running. My trusty iPod again welcomed me back with some fantastically motivating songs, and I ended up exceeding my planned half-mile run and running a full circuit of the track. And, as fate would have it, the second I stopped running, the rain stopped as well. Here we go again.
