Running around my life. Saturday, July 25, 2015. I can't really say we've been up to much, which is actually quite refreshing. Just taking it day by day, getting organized and catching up with friends that we haven't seen in two years. We've spent some time going on bike rides. Gwyneth in her "mud mask". Ruby trying to drive. Addisons homemade Jabba jello. And it was great to see these guys! Addison and his best chicken "Midnight.". Saturday, July 4, 2015. And we all won festive mustaches!

Running around my life. Wednesday, August 27, 2014. Day 18 - Madrid. It's pretty telling that this is where I procrastinated the blogging the longest. by this time in the "vacation" it felt more like a death march (read: extreme exaggeration). We were all pretty tired and needed some down time from being on the go. We hit the hotel in Madrid and slept in and had a hard time getting going. And occasionally we laid on the sidewalk. And eventually settled on a bus tour for laziness and ease of sightseeing.

Running around my life. Wednesday, July 30, 2014. Day 4 - Switzerland. On Tuesday morning we woke up early to head up the hill to a dairy farm in Allmend, one stop up the hill from us, to have a breakfast and watch them make cheese. Hiking up from the train station. The farm was "rustic" - not as in "furnished by Pottery Barn rustic," but as in "heats the milk with fire and doesn't have electricity rustic." The bathroom was an outhouse and the cheese was fresh and amazing. And watch the milk get heated.

We took to calling it "our third honeymoon," "power couples 101," (thanks for the great name Sara) and just "couples camp." Wednesday, July 22, 2015. This was also the first week of my officially being coached by Kristy. And I could already see a difference. It was more difficult to fit my runs in this week and the weather made two of the workouts more challenging. Being accountable to someone else helped me stay honest and kept me from justifying changes that I may have snuck in otherwise :). 3 miles easy (9:41 avg pace) and strides. Kick-off to marathon training with a low and slow 3 miler! 4 miles easy (9:45 avg pace).
