Running In Kilkenny: It's time to start planning for Dublin
http://www.runninginkilkenny.blogspot.com/2015/06/its-time-to-start-planning-for-dublin.html
From starting coach25k to running Connemara 100mile Ultra. Thursday, June 4, 2015. It's time to start planning for Dublin. So, I've been thinking. What do I want to achieve out of Dublin this year.after all one way or another I'll be running it. (yes Cathal, I’m going to be training for Dublin). Well, after abit of thought I've decided I'm going to try aim for sub 3.15 this year. Anyone suggest any good training plans with this time in mind? June 5, 2015 at 8:46 PM. You could try looking at pete pfitzing...
Running In Kilkenny: Tullaroan Marathon Race Report 2015
http://www.runninginkilkenny.blogspot.com/2015/06/tullaroan-marathon-race-report-2015.html
From starting coach25k to running Connemara 100mile Ultra. Tuesday, June 2, 2015. Tullaroan Marathon Race Report 2015. As a last minute decision last week I opted to take part in the Tullaroan Marathon, partially because its the nearest marathon to where I live and I want to make sure to support it and partially because I just wanted to do some long'ish miles at a leisurely pace and see how my body is since the Thames Path 100. A quick job with the jump leads from the other car and everything was sorted ...

From starting coach25k to running Connemara 100mile Ultra. Friday, July 10, 2015. 1000miles and its now time for some training. I've finally committed to the Dublin Marathon 2015 and I've officially signed up to run the event and with that in mind I've also officially started training for the marathon as of the 1st July, up until now I've been taken it relatively easy with a few runs now and then and varying distance of between 3-10miles. Course Route, Kilcash Woods. On another note I finally hit 1000mil...

Running In Kilkenny: Back to business as usual
http://www.runninginkilkenny.blogspot.com/2015/08/back-to-business-as-usual.html
From starting coach25k to running Connemara 100mile Ultra. Sunday, August 9, 2015. Back to business as usual. Training for Dublin City Marathon in October is going well, my pace is gradually increasing and although I really dislike doing intervals I'm pushing myself on them and managing 5.30-5.40 pace on many of them.something I'd never managed before. Despite getting sick after it its evident that my recovery after the 100mile race has gone much better then my recovery last year after the 100km in Portu...

JOURNEY TO A SUB 3HR MARATHON. Trials and tribulations of knocking almost another half an hour off my PB. Tuesday, 28 July 2015. Monday, July 20th: 17.0km Easy (5:38/km). After the race yesterday I had always planned to do another medium distance run today to compensate for lack of a true LSR this weekend. The idea of running on tired legs certainly worked! By the time I returned home I was happy to be done but if needed could have tacked on a few extra easily enough so that’s a good result! Legs were a ...

JOURNEY TO A SUB 3HR MARATHON. Trials and tribulations of knocking almost another half an hour off my PB. The McMillan Predictor gives the following likely times based on recent data:. Figure 1 - McMillan data. Therefore, the obvious target for Mullingar this Sunday will be a sub 70min result, although anything faster than my (quite soft) PB of 1:11:36 would be success in my eyes. Figure 2 - VDot data. The new training plan for 2014. Brings a new range of paces and definitions, so here they are:. Running...

An easy run to get the week started. Hip injury still at me. Tuesday, June 23rd: 12.0km Easy (5:22/km). JOURNEY TO A SUB 3HR MARATHON. Trials and tribulations of knocking almost another half an hour off my PB. Tuesday, 21 July 2015. Passed a couple of guys around here who were fading but there was till about 6 runners up ahead where the gap remained steady. Only problem though was that I was already in. JOURNEY TO A SUB 3HR MARATHON. Trials and tribulations of knocking almost another half an hour off my PB. Tuesday, 21 July 2015. 10 weeks to go. Monday, July 6th: 11.0km Tempo 6km @ 4:25/km. Due to the upcoming Mullingar 10 miler on Sunday we needed to get our tempo session in a bit earlier this week. Perhaps not a great idea given my run on Friday was followed by a parkrun on Saturday meaning that this was going to make it three hard days out of four. Needs must, though! Tuesday, July 7th:. Happy with a...

JOURNEY TO A SUB 3HR MARATHON. Trials and tribulations of knocking almost another half an hour off my PB. More Miles do not necessarily equate to faster times. While out for an easy run this evening I felt remarkably fresh and the effort was, well, very easy! My racing history - 2013 races tended to be much longer distances than the past two years. I’ve seen this too in. Krusty’s log on boards. What could possibly go wrong? 7 December 2013 at 12:23. 10 December 2013 at 09:41. Getting to a 3hr marathon wi...

Running Ink | … and I thought I’ll blog
8230; and I thought I’ll blog. March 27, 2008. In a distance played the morning raaga. As I struggled to stay asleep. The tantalizing smell of the jasmine flowers. And the incense sticks all working against this. My mind wished it would still be dark. And hoped its too early to wake up. But as the door opened. I was only glad to see my mother. There by my side every single day. But the mind had a lot to conquer. Places to visit and people to see. And as it wandered. From the smiling sun to the dozing moon.

Hopefully it won't cause any trouble tomorrow. Stay tuned for the race reports in a few days. Links to this post. Wednesday, 15 July 2015. Two ultras in 10 days, yet another new experience.
