The Constantly Heckled Runner: 3200 meter time trial
http://con-heck-run.blogspot.com/2009/02/3200-meter-time-trial.html
The Constantly Heckled Runner. A more-than-likely boring account of running and racing in the Springfield area. Saturday, February 14, 2009. 3200 meter time trial. Last weekend's 8 mile run was completed at an 8:03 clip and my other runs are generally completed between 8:00 to 8:30 pace. Last night I ran 4 in 32 minutes and change. I set off at an easy pace the first lap and felt comfortable the whole way. 1:3320; 3:07.16. 1:3407; 4:41.23. 1:3552; 6:16.75. 1:3385; 7:50.60. 1:3413; 9:24.73. Congrats on th...
TracePace: I'm going to dew point in weather's face if it doesn't lay off
http://trace-pace.blogspot.com/2011/05/im-going-to-dew-point-in-weathers-face.html
Tuesday, May 31, 2011. I'm going to dew point in weather's face if it doesn't lay off. Since my last post, Louisville has been your choice of:. Hot (like 90* and humid). Storming (like rain and tornadoes). I got some awesome New Balance gear last week. Favorite running outfit is the NBx Adapter Sleeveless. Top, super lightweight, great hand to the fabric, great fit, little pocket on the inside; along with the NBx Run Short. Which I own in way too many colors. (Or not enough.). Oh yeah, I ran a 5k over th...
TracePace: August 2010
http://trace-pace.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 30, 2010. Steak and parsnip fries. Curried red lentils and squash. Black bean and avocado wraps. Saturday, August 7, 2010. Well trace-pace will be on a running hiatus for a bit. Not that I've been blogging much, anyway. But that's because I've been running. And now I'm not supposed to run. So more time for blogging. My doctor suggested crutches, which are pretty much impossible at my job . but who knows, I may end up in a boot. Cute. Ortho Monday morning, we will see how that goes .
TracePace: Race report: Run for the "L" of It 5k
http://trace-pace.blogspot.com/2010/05/race-report-run-for-l-of-it-5k.html
Monday, May 31, 2010. Race report: Run for the "L" of It 5k. This post is subtitled, "The Little Engine That Couldn't.". Summer has come to the Ohio Valley, which meant at race time Saturday it was in the mid-70s with humidity pushing 80%. Lovely. The course is a pretty cool configuration, sort of a backwards C-shape with a little loop at the top. So people watching at the start/finish line can also see you around halfway, and there's no sharp turnaround like in an out-and-back. Cassidy is stupid and onl...
TracePace: May 2010
http://trace-pace.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 31, 2010. What a hellacious week. Kicked it off Sunday with a solid 15-miler, no gels, mid-70s and humid. Felt good, but was totally wiped out when it was over. Laid on my living room floor for a while when I got back. No getting squirelly on Monday, stuck to the muddy, hilly trails in anticipation of Tuesday hill repeats. When we got to Maple for the repeats, it was nearly 80 degrees. I averaged three seconds slower than the week before, with my heart rate max the same, so not bad. Unfortuna...
The Constantly Heckled Runner: My new home base of Decatur
http://con-heck-run.blogspot.com/2009/04/my-new-home-base-of-decatur.html
The Constantly Heckled Runner. A more-than-likely boring account of running and racing in the Springfield area. Sunday, April 12, 2009. My new home base of Decatur. I've been doing calisthenics and working out on the Total Gym pretty consistently so between that and the extra mileage I will get in from getting lost maybe I'll become injury free and faster this year on the infrequent occasions I will race. April 12, 2009 at 3:16 PM. Here's hoping that the hills make me stronger instead of weaker. I have t...
fishmagic: July 2011
http://fishmagic.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
All things flow freely as a fish swims in water. Wednesday, July 20, 2011. Kyler and I also ran two races: The Rusty Rudder 5K and the Seashore Striders 5K. In the first race Kyler set a new PR, 23:53, and finished 6th in his age group, 10-14. I ran a 19:07, which was my fastest time on that course and good enough for 2nd in my age group. At the next rac. Ran the Bridge Run on Memorial day weekend. This was well over a month since running the RACC Run. It was a hot morning. I was hoping to go...I ran wel...

Running On Empty | A newbie runner waxes prosaic.
April 18, 2015. I’ve gone running at several times of day – morning, afternoon, and evening. But as of this morning, I have a new favourite. This morning, due to other obligations all weekend long, I had to get my morning run in by 8 AM. So I set an alarm for 5:00, rolled out of bed, and hit the streets. The very beginnings of surise. By 8:00 am, my 11.5 miles were complete. Time enough to have breakfast with the kids. What an amazing start to my day. It’s Not All About the Long Run. April 9, 2015. I don...

Running on Empty | A newspaper column on the Internet.
A newspaper column on the Internet. March 27, 2013. Båts Against the Current: How Ikea Nearly Ruined My Marriage. This 2011 essay received an honorable mention in the 2012 Erma Bombeck Writing Competition. The website where it used to live is shutting down. I’m reposting it here so that it has a home. I love building Ikea furniture. Transforming a pile of particle board and screws into a piece of furniture with at best a five-year life expectancy makes me feel like God molding man from the clay of Li...

Long Island Stay at Home mom blogging about family, motherhood, and much more. Things that make me feel old. My name is Kelly and I am old. Ok so in all actuality I know I am not OLD but damn I feel old lately. Besides the aches and pains (and lost toenails-damn running) that are more the ordinary than out of the ordinary, things have been happening to me lately that really make me feel old. Running on Empty, Almost
Thursday, August 12, 2010. And another year gone by. A few people who follow my photography blog. Have stumbled upon my personal blog and asked why I have not written. My answer, I don't know. It isn't because I don't have much to say and it isn't that I no longer care to express myself but I simply don't know, I just haven't made the effort. My last post was July 11,2009 and since then, here is what has transcended:. 1 I became a Brooklynite! We moved to Bayridge in November! 10 I shot my first wedding!

Jan 12, 2015. What Weekends Are Made Of. This was one of those weekends where I felt like we were on the go every day. We weren't of course, but it felt like it. Anyways, here's a little pic overload from Friday night:. Yes she looks almost as tall as us here but her heels are about twice as high as my heels in this picture. My baby and my baby sister. B and my dad (Poppy). Those races are every two weeks and start at 7am! Anywho, this weekend was the big party to celebrate that, and we had a blast.
